Vox Populi Accepting Applications for New Members

Like the scene at 319 N. 11th Street? Want to get involved?
Now’s your chance to become a member of Vox Populi, the oldest and largest collective gallery space in the building.
VOX POPULI is accepting applications for membership through October 5.
This from an email received earlier today:
Vox Populi is a member-run artist collective, and we’re looking for some new talent! We’re looking to take on several new members this fall, so it’s an exciting chance to help shape the ever-changing culture of our space and what we do.
Visit HERE to apply now.
*There is a $10 fee, which goes directly to SlideRoom to pay for the service, not to Vox.
Member artists mount a solo exhibition each 15 months and are eligible to participate in group and traveling exhibitions. During these exhibitions, members are encouraged to take risks and experiment while working in a non-commercial and supportive collective environment. Members also have the chance to curate shows and organize educational and related programming.
Membership is open to any artist living in the Philadelphia area, but limited to those who do not have commercial gallery representation and who are not current students. Members participate in all aspects of the gallery’s administration and programming. We are also open to applications by people who do not consider themselves visual artists: performers, curators, or writers who may take on a slightly different role within the organization. Tell us in your application how you might participate!
There is a one-time initiation fee of $100.00 for new members; monthly dues are $55.00. Members are required to staff the gallery 4 hours each month and attend monthly meetings.
