Mystery, Surprise, & Hot Sauce

Our parents (my parents) teach us to value and to strive for routine, security, moderation and discipline in this life; in order to keep us safe.

Yet, it is in those moments of risk,  mystery, surprise, and discovery in life, in the gallery, and in the studio, that we feel most alive.

I waited too long to try hot sauce on my eggs.

We’ve collectively waited a loooong time for this footage of the elusive Giant Squid to be released.

Shot in July of 2012 and released on the Discovery Channel this past Sunday, finally we can see the Giant Squid as it feeds, and not washed up on the beach as we are more accustomed to seeing it.

30 feet in stature, this giant’s eye is as large as your head….seriously.
