Marc Blumthal: The Flame and the Flower

The Flame and the Flower

An exhibition by NAPOLEON member Marc Blumthal

Through Google Images, Blumthal explores the nature of the Freudian “Id” and “ego” in the American psyche.  Photographs and silkscreens are abstracted to question the mythology surrounding cultural iconography.

  1. I think of the texas chainsaw masacre when I see this. Love it!

  2. Ryan says:

Leatherface or Sloth from the Goonies, both cultural icons in their own right. Nice work Marc! We are very proud of you.
