Welcome Lewis Colburn

NAPOLEON is excited to announce our newest member, Lewis Colburn
Sculptor and all-around-great guy
Lewis Colburn makes sculptures and installations that start from specific historical objects. Lewis hails from Cedar Falls, Iowa, and received his degrees in from St. Olaf College and Syracuse University. He is a former fellow at the Center for Emerging Visual Artists and works at The University of the Arts as a lecturer and as the sculpture shop supervisor. Lewis’s work has been displayed nationally and internationally in such venues as Skulpturenpark Berlin_Zentrum in Berlin, Germany, Herzen State Pedagogical Institute, St. Petersburg, Russia, and The Pittsburgh Center for the Arts, Pittsburgh, PA. Lewis will soon have his personal page up on our website, but in the meantime, you can see more of his projects on his artist website:
As we say hello to Lewis, we say a fond farewell to Matt Ziemke and Jose Ortiz Pagan. Matt will be moving to Indiana for some pretty awesome teaching opportunities. Jose is staying in Philadelphia and will continue as Exhibitions Manager at the Fleisher Art Memorial. We hope both will stay in touch with NAPOLEON and we will miss their participation in our group.
