There’s an excellent article written by Christa DiMarco at Title Magazine  about Napoleon Member Lewis Colburn’s large scale environmental installations and sculptures. The piece takes an interesting look at the ideas that drive Colburn’s work, in particular history’s decisions to monumentalize or to forget.

Centennial (American Still Life) is currently on view at the University of the Art’s Rosenwald-Wolf Gallery, through July, and Lewis will be exhibiting new work at Napoleon in November.
