Courvoisier’s “11 of Philly’s Best Art Galleries” Includes NAPOLEON
According to the Cognac brand, Philadelphia has “become a bustling center for the performing and visual arts.” As such, they have listed 11 arts venues worth noting (I am not sure you can call the Barnes or the PMA simply “galleries”), and NAPOLEON made the list.
According to Courvoisier:
Napoleon is less of a traditional gallery and more of an arts-collective, and has stunningly only been around since 2011, despite its reputation. For art patrons looking for something a little off the beaten path, Napoleon is the spot for independent artists, local pieces, and work you won’t find anywhere else. Ten artists share responsibilities at Napoleon, and each member is responsible for hosting a show, either of his or her own art or by curating the work of another artist’s worth showcasing. This method ensures Napoleon’s exhibitions always feature something unique and carefully curated.
Also included are: Philadelphia Museum of Art, The Barnes Foundation, Philadelphia Mural Arts Program, the ICA, Fleisher/Ollman, The Art Galleries at City Hall, LGTripp Gallery, The Galleries at Moore, Pentimenti, and Arch Enemy Arts.
