The Archive Is Trending

The Archive Is Trending
Join the members of NAPOLEON for a night of programming at PAFA in response to their show-within-a-show in PAFA’s main gallery exhibit Traction Company.
What is the role of the archive in the age of social media? How do we record our achievements and experiences, collections and contributions, so that they will inform future generations?
NAPOLEON will host an evening of PAFA’s Art in Process to explore the importance of archives and to hear from arts leaders who will present on unusual archival practices, with an emphasis on personal collections as well as contemporary and community arts organizations.
Guest speakers include:
Tracy Broyles, Executive Director of Spiral Q
Christiana Dobrzynski Grippe, Archivist for the Dedalus Foundation
Anthony Elms, Chief Curator for the Institute of Contemporary Art
Join us for after-hours access to our installation in the Traction Company exhibition, and bring examples of your own unusual collections to share with guest speakers and with one another.
