Wait… There Was Even A Question of It??!!

If you are reading this blog post, chances are you love art and culture. If you love art and culture, there is a chance (albeit likely a smaller chance) that you like opera. If you made it this far – and like opera – then you undoubtedly like (love) Verdi. So, could someone who likes (loves) opera tell me how it is possible the the Metropolitan Opera has for the last… oh 100 or so years… put forth Otello (and the tenor playing the lead role) in BLACKFACE?! Until now, that is. Starting with its new season, this will no longer be the case. I’m sorry, but. Nevertheless, I am always in need of a reminder that people can and will shock the hell out of you.
