CAMOUFLAGED, a solo exhibition of work by Evan Paul English, is an intimate exploration of the connection between subjectivity, representation, and perception. Employing a variety of processes and materials that buck traditional methods in self-portraiture and imbue sculpture with his personal nostalgia, English’s work engages viewers well beyond the intricate detail within the frame. Visual cues intrinsic to the work open up a conversation about the connection between sexuality and identity.
