NAPOLEON welcomes the forthcoming exhibition, GAG featuring the work of our 2019 Open Call honorees, Emily & Peggy Blei Hracho.

The Blei Hracho’s have analogous bodies of work that employ process and materiality to subvert and challenge conventional craft based fabrications. They interrogate gender expectancy by appropriating derogatory and provocative language, questioning self determined intimacy in a digital age and with a corresponding disruption of conjectured color, form and technique. The Mother-Daughter duo will deploy works from their individual practices to foster a critical, cross-generational conversation regarding the power and autonomy available to women.
